Dear Sorors and Friends,

Welcome to the website of Quaker City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Quaker City Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1976 in Philadelphia, and since that time we have continued the legacy of sisterhood and community service. Our community service is focused on the Philadelphia community and is based on the sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.

A few of our current public service projects include the following:

• Citywide Voter Registration
• Poetry Café, a Spoken Word Showcase Fundraiser for New Freedom Theatre
• Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy program for girls 11-14
• Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS ( Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) program for young women 14-18
• Financial Fortitude Workshops
• Community Health Fair
• Science and Everyday Experiences Program (SEE)
• Social Action Dessert Hour – Political Forum
• Scholarship Financial Awards to High School Seniors
